Is this op.135 by Emerson from their complete edition? Once I was very much fond of their interpretation and style, however, everything is changed when their Haydn came to my ear. Sound is good, tone color is beutiful, teamwork is perfect. But where is the spirit of music? Where is Haydn's simplicity and humorique? In that case, I don't expect highly about their beethoven. Hopefully it's not something American.

昨天在一个朋友家听到布达佩斯四重奏30-40年代的一些录音,又听了一些其他19世纪末20世纪初期的四重奏组的录音,感觉在重奏声音和谐与统一方面,当年和现在有不小的审美差别。那个时候好像不太追求“融”、“齐”、“润”等等现在室内乐演奏的基本要求,而更多的会体现每个成员个性的表达和对作品层次渐进的刻画。说不好哪中更好,我个人还是比较喜欢偏现代一点的,如Amadues、Vegh那种风格。
